In short
- No accounts, no sign-up forms and no ads.
- Your checklist ticks and your analytics choice are saved in your own browser.
- The budget calculator runs in your browser. What you type isn’t sent to us or saved.
- Google Analytics counts visits. Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked first; everyone can switch it off.
What we store in your browser
We use your browser’s local storage, which stays on your device:
llw-first-session-v1: which beginner checklist items you ticked. “Reset checklist” deletes it.llw-analytics-consent: whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we don’t ask again.
Search and filter choices on the jobs page are added to the page address so you can share a filtered list. Clearing your browser’s site data removes everything above.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to see which guides are read and which are missing. When it runs, Google collects information such as the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address, and sets cookies to recognise repeat visits. We turn off Google signals and ad personalisation. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
If you visit from the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, Google Analytics only loads after you click “Accept” on the cookie bar. To decide whether to ask, your browser requests Cloudflare’s country lookup on our own domain; we don’t store the result. Visitors from other countries see no cookie bar and Google Analytics runs, but you can switch it off.
To change your choice at any time, use (also in the footer) and click Accept or Decline. Your choice is saved in your browser.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
If you email us
Messages to [email protected] are forwarded to our inbox through Cloudflare Email Routing. We receive your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply and to fix the guides. Ask us and we’ll delete your messages.
Links to other sites
Play buttons take you to the official game, and source links go to other websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, including the Lagos Life privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
Age
The game’s own Terms say players must be 18 or older. This guide is written for those players and we don’t knowingly collect information from children.
